We have the pleasure to serve in a congregation that doesn't just touch our city, but touches our world. The "Why" of what we do is and should be woven throughout everything we do. This "Why" must push us to explore and consistently strive for more to glorify God and grow His kingdom.

 

Design and supporting visuals connect the church on a unique level. They have the power to visually interpret and support the word of God spoken across the pulpit. They are a resource that assists in spreading the gospel on massive scale through physical and digital forms.

Our congregation has been able to take advantage of these visual tools in many ways and has tapped into great potential. However, maintaining and pursuing these tools requires and great deal of effort and dedication. In many ways, the digital landscape has transformed our world today. It has opened up opportunities of witness and influence in ways we've never seen before.

In order to grow at consistent rate, there is steady stream of content needed. As with anything, there needs to be a balance. This can properly done through an effective schedule. The good news is, there are enough events taking place in our congregation on a weekly basis to have a steady stream of content.

The following schedule describes all the potential parties involved in effectively running and promoting an event. Schedule does include weekly content already in place such as: Testimony Tuesdays, daily verses & quotes on social media, and regular sermon content on the Door Church app.

THE DETAILS

Even while looking at a potential three month schedule, one can quickly see that coordinating church media is no small task. I am beyond honored to be asked to assist in the growth of our congregation and do not take the opportunity lightly. Keeping the position initially part-time, allows for continued ministry discipleship and the distribution of projects.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Door Church Creative Director

TIME: 20–30 hours weekly

GOAL: To coordinate church media at a professional level and inspire growth both in our church and the churches we serve as examples to.

TASKS: 

  • Manage & support church media team in the areas of: Social Media, Photo & Video, Flyers, Presentations & Sound, and Website & App using online project management software
  • Consistently attend morning prayer
  • Attend staff meetings in order keep projects relevant and consistent with church vision
  • Assist in the planing opportunities for church outreach & growth (annual conference & future building plans)
  • Report status of projects in a consistent and timely manner to pastoral leadership team

EQUIPMENT NEEDED:

  • Macbook Pro capable of handling high level video, photography and design
